At Thrive Therapy Center, we believe that clarity fosters a sense of safety. Our practice policies are designed to support a safe, consistent, and trauma‑informed therapeutic experience.
This page outlines our core practice policies to help clarify expectations around scheduling, communication, boundaries, privacy, and the use of this website.
These policies are purposefully aligned to support respectful, collaborative care, while also honoring the value of your time, privacy, and emotional well-being. If you have questions or need accommodations, we welcome open conversation.
Scheduling & AttendanceAppointments are reserved specifically for you. Consistent attendance supports therapeutic progress and helps maintain continuity of care. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice whenever possible.
Cancellations & No‑ShowsLate cancellations and missed appointments may be subject to a fee, as these times cannot be offered to other clients. Exceptions may be made for emergencies or circumstances protected under federal law.
We understand that life happens. If you’re unable to attend, please reach out as soon as possible so we can offer support and maintain scheduling integrity.
Email & Text CommunicationWhile we use secure, HIPAA‑compliant platforms whenever possible, please be aware that standard email and SMS are not fully secure. For your privacy, clinical discussions should be reserved for sessions or communicated through the secure client portal.
Administrative matters—such as scheduling or logistics—may be handled via email or text.

Boundaries & Therapeutic RelationshipWe maintain professional boundaries to ensure a safe and effective therapeutic environment. Social media connections, dual relationships, and non‑therapeutic contact outside of session are not permitted. Social Media BoundariesTo protect your confidentiality and maintain clear therapeutic boundaries, our therapists do not accept “friend,” “follow,” or connection requests from current or former clients on personal social media accounts. We also do not engage in clinical conversations through social media messaging platforms. These boundaries help ensure a safe, ethical, and professional therapeutic relationship. Payment and Insurance:Thrive Therapy Center accepts select insurance plans and private self-pay. We invite you to review your coverage and benefits to ensure clarity and confidence in your care. For current rates and accepted plans, contact us directly. Co-pays and fees are due at the time of service & Superbills can be provided upon request Privacy and Confidentiality: Thrive Therapy Center, LLC, adheres to HIPAA and all applicable state and federal privacy laws. For details on how your health information is used and protected, please review our Notice of Privacy Practices. We protect your information in accordance with HIPAA, Tennessee law, and federal updates effective February 16, 2026. - Your Protected Health Information (PHI) is kept confidential except as permitted or required by law.

Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Records: IIn accordance with 42 CFR Part 2, records related to substance use disorder treatment receive heightened protection. These records cannot be disclosed in legal proceedings without your written consent or a qualifying court order that meets strict federal criteria. Your Rights Under HIPAAYou have the right to:
- Inspect and obtain a copy of your medical and billing records - Request an accounting of disclosures showing when your PHI was shared for reasons other than treatment, payment, or operations - Request confidential communication, including asking us to contact you through specific secure channels (e.g., encrypted email, client portal, alternate phone number) - Request restrictions on how your PHI is used or disclosed - Correct or amend information in your record if you believe it is inaccurate or incomplete Documentation & RecordsYou have the right to access your clinical records, request amendments, and ask for an accounting of disclosures. Client Rights and Responsibilities:We ask that clients engage in therapy with openness, honesty, and mutual respect. Disruptive or harmful behavior may result in termination of services. We are committed to providing care that is respectful, inclusive, and trauma-informed.
